yummy blueberries |
There have been a few changes on the farm since I have last posted. We have narrowed our focus to the things that are most important to us, namely the goats and the blueberries.
The Blueberries production continues to grow. Harvest of 2015 came 2 weeks early and we enjoyed a very hot and long summer. Thank you to all who came for the U-pick and all those who purchased the picked berries. Hope you enjoyed them as much as we did. :)

We will soon begin harvesting the cashmere again, and sending off our samples for histogram evaluations. Kids will again be arriving in March and April. We are expecting great things from these kids.
In August I had the privilege of going to Twist Fibre Festival in Quebec with my friend and colleague, Heide Krause. The 2015 Canadian National Cashmere Fleece competition was held there and we were able to be a part of facilitating that. It was a great show and so many very nice fleeces. I don't know how the judge, Wendy Peih was able to make her selections.
I also had the chance to take a nuno felting workshop. That was so much fun. This is the scarf I made with silk and merino wool.
